ZOOTOPIA (2016)

Blimey this film couldn't be more timely. It tells the fictional story of a rabbit becoming a police officer and the challenges she faces fitting into a world that doesn't believe in her. She befriends a fox who, as a predator, also has his own challenges amongst a fear mongering society. I love Jason Bateman - even in voice/fox form, he's excellent. The characterisation of the animals is perfect. The sloth scene is excruciating. And I'd love to know what an innocent child thinks when they see a shrew being Marlon Brando.

This is an important film for children. And even more important for adults. A perfect tonic for a hangover Sunday.
