Steve Jobs
STEVE JOBS (2015)
What a great film! Completely focused on performance and dialogue. It has screenwriter Aaron Sorkin’s unmistakable whiplash quick print all over this. Starring Michael Fassbender as the turbulent brilliant genius who founded Apple and changed all of our lives. If you’ve seen Fassbender stealing scenes in Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds or delivering great heart and hate to Magneto in the X Men reboots then you know he deserves his first Best Actor nom with this project. He’s dynamic. Kate Winslet plays his ever suffering aide — and personally I dont think she has ever been more natural in a role. Big fan of Winslet and im delighted she’s back in the nominations after winning 6 years ago.
This was right up my street. A modest stage play on the pompous big screen. Love it.
